| Ciao dall'Inghilterra, ho comprato due paia di questi binocoli piuttosto bizzarri un paio ciascuno per me e mia moglie. Ci piacciono, sono piccoli brillanti al centro con la capacità di affilare i bordi, questo è probabilmente intenzionale nel design, anche se quell'idea ha pochi sostenitori che riesco a vedere. Una coppia era estremamente pulita internamente e non richiedeva attenzione, la seconda coppia ho trovato un po 'noiosa in confronto e ho scoperto che la superficie interna sui filtri UV aveva una foschia, questo ha risolto il problema. L'IPD varia in base al mio nastro da 73 mm a 56 mm. Il modo in cui li tengo sul mio viso è appoggiando il bino sotto le sopracciglia nell'osso dell'orbita. Ho visto che questi erano in grado di essere dotati di filtri polarizzatori, se qualcuno sapeva dove trovarli, mi interessasse. Ciao per ora Giovanni
Hello From England, I have bought two pairs of these rather quirky binoculars a pair each for myself and my wife. We like them, they are small bright sharp in the centre with the ability to sharpen the edges, this is probably intentional in the design, although that idea has few backers that I can see. One pair was extremely clean internally and required no attention, the second pair I found a trifle dull on comparison and discovered the interior surface on the UV filters to have a haze, this sorted the problem. The IPD ranges according to my tape measure 73mm to 56mm. The way I hold these to my face is by resting the bino under my eyebrows in the orbit bone. I have seen that these were able to be fitted with polariser filters should anybody know where to obtain these it would interest me. Bye for now John |

| Mi chiedo se la curvatura di campo non sia una caratteristica di progettazione deliberata che consente durante l'azione di vedere le cose a distanza e senza rifocalizzare i bersagli più vicini fuori dal piano centrale anche abbastanza nitidi da aumentare la propria cautela. Ross sapeva abbastanza di ottica per produrre ciò che era richiesto e produceva per diversi usi / requisiti campi più piatti. Ma questa è solo la mia opinione e sono limitato nella mia conoscenza, sono sicuro che altri qui saranno in grado di giustificare o meno ciò che ho detto. Ciao per ora Giovanni
I do wonder if the field curvature is not a deliberate design feature enabling during action to see things at distance and without refocussing closer targets out of the central plane also sharp enough to raise ones caution. Ross knew enough about optics to produce what was required and did produce for different uses/requirements flatter fields. But this is just my opinion and I am limited in my knowledge am sure others here will be able to justify or not what I have said.

| Courtesy Frank Lagorio...........Optically, the view of this particular binocular is similar to that of many other British 7X50 Porro II's in collection. Its central view is bright and sharp to about 65%-70% toward the edge of the field but quickly looses definition because of an optical distortion called field curvature (i.e. if the center of the image is focused, the edges of the image are not, and if the edges are focused, the center is not). | | Ciao Ferdinando, ero precedentemente in possesso di un paio di Leitz 12x60 che avevano funghi del tipo che mostri su una lente obiettiva come mostrato nella tua foto di una lente obiettiva sopra e posso confermare che non era possibile rilevare la differenza tra quella e la lente non interessata. Questo era il mio test soggettivo e non scientifico, tuttavia quando si tiene una matita davanti a una lente obiettiva è difficile vedere la matita. Per ora John |

| | Il fungo è un argomento interessante poiché le nostre lenti sono soggette ai suoi capricci, come dire se il fungo si posa sulla superficie solo reagendo con il rivestimento o è all'interno della superficie del vetro è qualcosa che lascerò ad altri per descrivere. Pensieri gentili John |

| | Ciao di nuovo, ho fatto un errore alcuni anni fa ho pulito il fungo e mi sono reso conto con orrore che aveva graffiato la superficie, poco dopo mi sono imbattuto in alcuni consigli che indicavano che avrei potuto usare una soluzione al 3% di perossido di idrogeno per ossidare il fungo prima della pulizia, ed è vero che su alcuni tipi di funghi questo lascia una superficie liscia, Tuttavia a volte il vetro è inciso dal fungo, ma non tutti i tipi, dipende da quale tipo è sulla superficie. Non sono affatto molto esperto nella pulizia dell'ottica, quindi per favore fai ulteriori ricerche prima di utilizzare i miei risultati. Per ora giovanni |
